How it works

Giving Back to Richmond

Your volunteer support is critical to the ToolBank’s success. Donating your time & talent enables us to empower hundreds of community-based organizations and their volunteers with the tools needed to completed thousands of service projects every year. There are many ways you can volunteer at the ToolBank and we gladly welcome individuals, families, and corporate groups.

There, you will see a full list of all upcoming opportunities for individuals, groups, and skilled volunteers. Before you attend a volunteer event, please sign the volunteer waiver at the bottom of this page.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Volunteer Waiver

Please read the volunteer waiver and direct any questions/concerns to a ToolBank staff person prior to beginning your service. Then, add your digital signature by completing the Volunteer Information Form.

In consideration of my voluntary involvement in the activities undertaken for an in connection with the Richmond Community ToolBank, a nonprofit charitable organization, I hereby agree, for myself, my heirs, assigns, executors, and administrators to release and discharge the ToolBank, its officers and directors, employees, Partners, Sponsors, agents, and volunteers from all claims, demands and actions for injuries sustained to my person and/or property as a result of my involvement in such activities, and I agree to release and hold the ToolBank, its officers and directors, employees, agents, and volunteers harmless from an cause of action, claim or suit arising therefrom. This release and waiver includes, without limitations, risks arising out of the use and operation of hand and power tools. I hereby attest that my attendance and involvement in such activities is voluntary, that I am participating at my own risk, and that I have read the foregoing provisions of this release.

I also grant the ToolBank permission to use and distribute my image, likeness, voice, and appearance for all purposes related to the ToolBank, without financial compensation.
